Two Better Than One – Famous Duos On The Globe by Sharon M Brooks
It is often seen in various walks of life that when there is a combination of two individuals going about completing a task, then they are more successful and are able to achieve better heights than compared to the results that an individual alone is able to achieve. Contrary to this, there is a line of thought especially in certain specialized fields of sport; that an individual is able to achieve better heights and rewards in an individual sport than compared to individual who is involved in a team sport. The basic logic of this is that no two individuals generally have the same commitment and effort levels which are required to accomplish the task.
But if we look back through the history; we see several examples which are present; of duos being very successful and extremely popular in almost every walk of life. Whether we see fields related to Arts, Sports, Politics, Comedy etc.; we would find examples of successful and popular duos everywhere. Fiction/ Animation: One of the most famous and recognized duo in the field of animation or cartoons who’s name comes to the mind are the characters of “Tom & Jerry.” Every child or an adult would have an instant recall or would be able to relate to these cartoon characters instantly. Apart from these, another entry to this list of famous duos would be of “Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck.” Quite similar to the first one; the latter duo also has instant recall value amongst the children and adults alike.
Music: The field of singing has so many examples of famous duos which made a mark in the field and enthralled and entertained people across the globe. Bing Crosby & David Bowie, Simon & Garfunkel, Everly Brothers, Cher & Sonny etc. are a few of the names of famous duos in the field of music which instantly come to mind.
Comedy: The name of one of the most famous duos which instantly comes to mind in the comedy field of “Laurel & Hardy”. The duo has been an instant and an out an out favorite for almost every kid in the world. Another famous duo that comes to mind in the comedy sphere is of Abbott & Costello. Unlike their predecessors, they also have made their mark in the comedy field and entertained audiences worldwide.
